Corporate Onboarding Program

You’ve heard the saying, “You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.”  That couldn’t be truer than in the orientation employees receive when joining a new company.  It’s even more challenging when a significant part of your workforce is virtual.  We have developed an approach to orientation programs that not only embraces the vision and mission of the organization, we help to create a peer community. We utilize modern learning methods including a progression of facilitated presentations and discovery learning activities to create a “jaw dropping” experience that prepares the new employees for their entry into the company.  We have created a “virtual” launch program where the entire orientation is conducted from the new worker’s home office.

Internship Program

Metatron designs, develops and delivers custom workshops for company internship programs.  We help to enhance existing programs, including the development of orientation tools and materials.  We custom develop workshops, not only for the interns, but for the managers charged with the responsibility of supervising the work assignment and the intern.  This results in a win-win-win situation.  The interns “win” by making the most of their talents and experience “real life” job. The interns learn how to function successfully in a corporate environment including the development of leadership, team-building, communication, presentation skills, and business etiquette. The managers “win” because they learn how to work effectively with the interns.  Not only do they hone their managerial skills in the workshops, they learn how to bring out the best in the intern by providing a safe, nurturing environment.  They also learn how to develop a worthwhile assignment.  This assignment must challenge the intern while making a significant contribution to the organization.  The company “wins” because the word is out in the colleges and universities about the rich internship experience it offers.

Professors and department heads encourage the best and the brightest to apply to company’s program.  Because of the success of the experience, the company is to attract the best interns initially, and keep them coming back.  Our level of involvement ranges from providing consulting services to assist in developing internship programs to facilitating the actual events. We helped Eaton Corporation, grow its program from 8 interns (2000) to 55 interns (2004). The students are the “best and the brightest” from some of the top engineering schools in the country, including MIT, Purdue and Cornell.  Eaton’s program serves as a feeder system with student encouraged to enter the program as a freshman or sophomore. Our workshop designs capitalize on the alumni’s experiences and incorporate the latest learning methodologies and theories.
