Workshops
Jill
Milkovich and Metatron New Media have been granted the
rights and permissions to use the new 2003 Instructor Competencies created by ibstpi
(International Board of Standards for Training Performance and Instruction www.ibstpi.org
).
These core competencies serve as the foundation for
the following train-the-trainer courses.
Standards2Performance
Maximizing
your Inherent Ability to Deliver Effective Training
This workshop is based on
the 18 Standards as defined by the International Board of Standards for
Training and Performance and Instruction (ibstpi). ibstpi identified the
core competencies of instructors—those decisions, actions and behaviors
that competent instructors demonstrate to complete an instructional
assignment successfully. The competencies define the generic instructor
role, independent of settings and organizations.
This workshop is
for trainers who want to take full advantage of their ability to deliver
effective training. By
stepping through the fundamentals and basics of instructional delivery,
participants evaluate their current skills and align them with the
International Standards.
This
workshop is ideal for supervisors, managers, trainers and subject matter experts
who have been asked to transfer their knowledge to others.
The course utilizes a
strong performance-based approach, learner-centered methods, strategies
and techniques. Participants will learn how to establish a positive
environment that fosters learning, analyze group dynamics, motivate
participants, lead discussions, and effectively deal with difficult
situations. Participants have the opportunity to practice skills and
receive coaching and feedback from the instructor and fellow learners.
